Christmas Concert 2009
We held our Christmas Concert at our Yaba branch on the 8th of December and at our Ogudu branch on the 9th of December 2009. The pupils entertained the parents with performances by the orchestra, choir and of course the actors in the play, “The Fourth Wise Man”. The parents sang along as spirits soared with renditions of classic Christmas Carols. The Childville Senior pupils showed off their talent with a dance presentation that was enjoyed by all. Merry Christmas everybody and a Happy New Year!
Declamation Contest
The Childville held its first ever Declamation Contest on Monday 23 November 2009. Our esteemed parents and our pupils attended the event from Primary One to Six. Four representatives from each year were selected after every child in the school had the opportunity to recite the poem in front of their class. These four representatives then had to recite the poem in front of the whole school and their parents – a daunting task, but one they were all successful in doing.
Congratulations to all our winners and those who participated!

Our celebrations drew to a close as we sang the National Anthem and sang Happy 49th Birthday to Nigeria.

The Year 7 Business Studies project in 3rd term was for the students to form a partnership in groups of two, sell items they would like and then take the profit realized to Charity. They did this with enthusiasm and we decided to go to the Hearts of Gold Children Hospice in Surulere. Please log on to www.hoghospice.org for further information.
