Things Fall Apart

Things Fall Apart, a play written by Chinua Achebe, with introduction and note by Aigboje Higo.

Chinua Achebe looks back at Igbo Society, specifically at the period the white men broke into Igbo land as missionaries, traders and administrators.  Before the coming of the white man, the clan thought like one, spoke like one, shared a common awareness and acted like one.  The coming of the white man broke this unity.

On the 29th of June 2011, our pupils took to the stage and put on the most amazing performance of this play. Many of our audience members were still speaking about it days after the production saying how phenomenal it was, that a cast so young could portray such a mature host of characters. Well done to all the staff and pupils who were involved and particularly to Mr. Jerome and Mrs. Taiwo-Jalupon for all their hard work in directing the play.
