We were also entertained by the Young Talent Group who did a Zulu Dance, the Year 2’s who sang a Zulu Song and the Secondary School who spoke in poetry and prose about the Apartheid Regime in South Africa.
Other countries that were presented include:

Year 1 Spelling Bee
ON Wednesday 14 March 2012, our Year 1 pupils all entered our own school Year 1 Spelling Bee. After a few rounds of spelling a number of the spellers were out of the competition and ultimately we were left with six spellers who just could not be faulted. We were forced to stop as we had run out of words to give them – that’s how excellent they were!

The Red Cross Trip to Headquarters
ON the 7th of March 2012, our Red Cross Society went to visit the headquarters of the Red Cross at Makoka, Lagos.
Our children learnt all about how the Red Cross came to Nigeria, its history as a whole and then visited the motherless babies’ home at the headquarters.

Valentine's Fun Walk & Fun Day
"On Saturday the 11th of February the entire school staff and pupil body assembled in our car park at 07h30 joined by many of our wonderful parents. We set out on our 3km walk through the Ogudu GRA at 8am led by our marching band and sporting our Coca Cola sponsored T-Shirts from The Nigerian Bottling Company. We all returned to the school where our field was filled with fun activities such as a giant water slide, bouncy castle, toddler town, train rides, games area and novelty football matches between girls and Moms and boys and Dads, not to mention teachers and pupils.
To crown it all we had some wonderful stalls where one could buy food, toys, beads, and jewellery or design your own t-shirt or face cap and possibly even get your face painted. Our pupils were treated to free popcorn, candyfloss, snacks, ice cream and some yummy Honeywell Noodles.
Our thanks go to the PTA exco and parents for making the day a huge success as well as to the staff of the Childville School, who assisted in all the activities. Our particular thanks go to Mrs Okoya-Thomas for all her hard work in making our day a fantastic day of fun!
